Upon securing her paralegal degree from Inver Hills Community College in 2010, Julie had special reason to be proud of maintaining a 4.0 GPA. As a young, single mom, working full time throughout her tenure, her commitment to pursuing law for its theory and applications in life took particular effort. After several years in administrative support in public schools, Julie’s career goals were fulfilled when her love of the law and her passion for helping people finally came together as she started with Kennedy & Ruhsam in the summer of 2021.
Julie’s unique life experience has helped enhance her interpersonal skills and enables her to work well with different generations and people from all walks of life. Her patience, empathy, and passion are distinctive in both her personal and professional relationships. Today, Julie is a legal assistant for the areas of business law, probate/estate planning, family law and civil litigation. She drafts client and court correspondence, as well as a variety of legal documents. Julie also assists the attorneys in the creation, organization and management of client files on our electronic database.
Outside of the office, Julie enjoys attending concerts (especially with her 16-year-old son), connecting with her long-distance friends, and going on adventures with her boyfriend and his two young children.
